Take advantage of this unique hiking experience just on the outskirts of Bisbee. The pictures above explain themselves. This a moderate out and back hike of approximately 8 miles but there will be some rock climbing during the last quarter mile as one approaches the summit of Mural Peak. (Mountain climbing equipment is not required. Just shoes with good soles and ankle support. Gloves and long pants are recommended) In other words, don't wear flipflops and shorts. Each hiker will be outfitted with a daypack containing two liters of water and trail snacks along with a hiking pole. This is a trip with grand vistas and other beauties of nature. Don't forget to bring a camera. Your tour guide will regale you with stories about the history of Bisbee and the Mule Mountains. This hike meets at the Grassy Park in front of the Bisbee Mining and Historical Museum, 5 Copper Queen Plaza Bisbee at 8:30 a.m. and lasts about 5 hours. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early.
