THE SANDHILL CRANES OF WHITEWATER DRAW

 After traveling hundreds of miles from the north, Sandhill cranes will make their grand entrance to the Sulphur Springs Valley starting in October. Between their six-foot wingspans, V-shaped flight patterns and horn-like calls, Sandhill cranes are hard to miss and a sight to behold.  Check out this great video.

 Yellow headed and red winged blackbirds roosting at Whitewater Draw. There must have been tens of thousands of them. Sometimes one could barely see through them.

This tour includes transportation to and from Whitewater Draw.  In addition to the annual migrations of Sandhill Cranes, red-winged and yellow-headed blackbirds and many other migratory species, you might also see coyotes and javelina. If you forgot your binoculars, don't worry. We have extras.  This tour starts at the Grassy Park in front of the Bisbee Mining and Historical Museum, 5 Copper Queen Plaza at 4:00 p.m. Please arrive 10 - 15 minutes early. The length of the tour is approximately 2 hours.
